Uthukuli: Uthukuli is 23.5 kilometers from Avinashi and if you start early in the morning you should be able to reach here within half an hour. The Arulmiga Uthukuli Murugan temple has a history which dates 200 years back and this is a must see destination.

Indira Gandhi National Park: A stop at this wild life sanctuary will surely be worthwhile. The Indira Gandhi Wildlife Sanctuary and National Park or IGWLS & NP is a well protected area in Tirupur District.The sanctuary is named after our former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. History states that the Prime Minister visited the park on 7 October 1961. The Park is also called as "Topslip," which is a village located to the northeast corner of the park.

Facts About the Indira Gandhi Wildlife Sanctuary and National Park

  • You can add to your sight-seeing list Karianshola, which lies adjacent to the Park. It is a tropical rain forest with tall sky high trees and a well developed canopy. This makes the place an ideal destination for serious forest and animal lovers.
